Inner Haven Wellness delivers both Intensive Outpatient and Partial Hospitalization Programming. Drawing from Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT) and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Inner Haven’s local multidisciplinary treatment teams place significant emphasis on skill development and practice to empower individuals on their recovery journey. Position Description:
The Admissions Counselor is responsible for working with clients, family members, and loved ones through the entire assessment and enrollment process. The position is accountable to delivering excellent customer experience as well as the achievement of admission, census growth, and utilization goals. The position will work collaboratively with medical and clinical teams to ensure all clients meet clinical and medical criteria for admission.
Duties:
· Provide excellent customer experience to all potential clients, families, loved ones, and referral partners that reach out regarding the admission process.
· Managing potential new client inbound inquiries through multiple channels (phone, form, email, text/chat etc).
· Coordinate with referring providers as needed to facilitate step ups, downs, transfers, and direct admissions into treatment.
· Effectively help clients build insight and motivation to come to treatment.
· Deliver initial screening assessments and utilize evaluation criteria to determine LOC.
· Obtain verification of benefits for clients in the admission process and communicate a clear financial picture of the cost of treatment to remove barriers and help people gain access to care.
· Work to obtain pre-authorization for clients to enter care.
· Collaborate with back office to secure SCAs when needed.
· Ensure all documentation is detailed and complete to enable data driven decision making in admissions.
Qualifications, Experience and Competencies:
An equivalent combination of education, training and experience will be considered.
· Bachelors degree highly preferred.
· Three years experience in admissions as an individual contributor for a behavioral health treatment provider required.
· Knowledgeable of behavioral health treatment for mood, anxiety, and eating disorders.
· Experience in the use of electronic health records and CRM.
· Highly skilled in communicating ideas and instructions, verbally and in writing, clearly and concisely.
· Strong at case management and working with multiple priorities in a fast paced environment.
· Detail oriented and data driven thinker.
Compensation and Benefits:
Annual salary $60,000 - $80,000
